IBI Feidoodoo Visits Sri Lanka to Deepen Strategic Cooperation and Jointly Outline a New Blueprint for China–Sri Lanka Industrial Synerg
To further implement the Belt and Road Initiative and actively respond to the call for coordinated development of cross-border industrial and supply chains, Feidoodoo, a platform under IBI, continues to expand its global business footprint and deepen international cooperation in agriculture and industrial ecosystems, with the industrial internet as its core link.
Recently, Yin Haifeng, Vice President of IBI and CEO of Feidoodoo; Wang Qing, General Manager of Feidoodoo Singapore E-commerce Co., Ltd.; and Zhang Yi, Director of the Cross-Border Business Department of Feidoodoo, led a delegation on a multi-day business visit to Sri Lanka.
During the visit, the delegation engaged with local government departments, key institutions, and leading enterprises, conducting in-depth consultations on agricultural modernization, cross-border supply chain development, and green energy advancement. Through precise cooperation matchmaking, the visit aimed to enhance the quality and efficiency of China–Sri Lanka bilateral economic and trade cooperation and lay a solid foundation for complementary industrial resources and win-win outcomes.
Wang Jinsong, President of the Middle East Liaoning General Chamber of Commerce; Jerry Adrian, Secretary-General of the Sri Lanka China Economic, Trade, Education and Cultural Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of Hemi Group; and Li Lun, Member of the Investment Committee of the Investment Special Committee of the China Software Industry Association, participated throughout the visit, jointly facilitating project implementation in Sri Lanka.
Visit to DIMO Group: Signing a Strategic Cooperation Agreement to Advance Industry–Finance Synergy
On January 14, the delegation paid its first visit to DIMO PLC, a diversified leading enterprise in Sri Lanka, and held a dedicated strategic cooperation meeting with Ranjith Pandithage, Chairman of the Group; Suresh Gooneratne, Chief Financial Officer; Chaminda Ranawana, Head of the Water Treatment Division; and Priyanga Dematawa, Head of the Agriculture Division.
Building on their respective industrial strengths, both sides conducted in-depth discussions on key areas including the promotion of agricultural mechanization, assurance of high-quality agricultural input supply chains, and expansion of cross-border agricultural product trade. Multiple strategic consensuses were reached, and a strategic cooperation agreement was signed on site, officially opening a new chapter of comprehensive collaborative cooperation.

DIMO Group’s business spans ten core sectors, including agriculture and automobiles, and its full industrial-chain layout is highly compatible with Feidoodoo’s existing business system. This cooperation will fully integrate Feidoodoo’s industrial internet resources and cross-border supply chain operation capabilities with DIMO’s local channels and resource advantages in Sri Lanka and the South Asian market, achieving efficient coordination across agricultural input supply, agricultural services, and agricultural product circulation.
Both parties will focus on building cross-border supply chain systems for featured agricultural products such as coconut oil and coconut powder, opening new space for Feidoodoo to deepen its presence in the South Asian market and construct a regional industrial ecosystem.
Visit to Premium International: Opening New Channels for Two-Way China–Sri Lanka Agricultural Trade
On the same day, the Feidoodoo delegation visited Premium International and held focused discussions with Prasantha Kularatna on core topics such as two-way circulation of featured agricultural products.
Based on the industrial complementarity between China and Sri Lanka, both sides clarified a two-way trade cooperation path of “going out” and “bringing in,” effectively opening new channels for China–Sri Lanka trade connectivity. On one hand, leveraging Feidoodoo’s mature domestic sales network and full-chain supply system, high-quality Sri Lankan products such as pepper, coconut water, and coconut oil will be introduced into the Chinese market, enriching domestic consumption categories and supply scenarios. On the other hand, high-quality Chinese agricultural inputs and agricultural technology equipment will be promoted to precisely match Sri Lanka’s agricultural development needs, supporting local agricultural capacity upgrading and realizing efficient two-way resource circulation and shared value creation.
Inspection of the Hambantota China–Sri Lanka Industrial Park: Building a Belt and Road Logistics Hub and Supply Chain Base
On January 15, the delegation conducted an on-site inspection of the Hambantota China–Sri Lanka Industrial Park, carrying out detailed research on port warehousing facilities, logistics transportation networks, and locational radiation advantages. In-depth discussions were held with park representatives on cross-border logistics coordination, warehousing base construction, and integrated supply chain services.
As an important carrier of practical China–Sri Lanka cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, the Hambantota Industrial Park enjoys unique logistics hub conditions and serves as a core node connecting South Asian regional supply chains and radiating to surrounding markets.
Drawing on its mature experience in cross-border supply chain operations, the Feidoodoo team proposed constructive approaches regarding logistics resource integration and digital supply chain management. Both sides reached preliminary cooperation intentions to jointly build regional supply chain bases within the park and improve supporting warehousing and logistics systems for agricultural inputs and agricultural products, laying a solid foundation for efficient China–Sri Lanka cross-border trade circulation, reduced logistics costs, and enhanced supply chain responsiveness, and supporting the effective implementation of Belt and Road logistics hub development.
Visit to the Presidential Secretariat: Establishing a New Government–Enterprise Coordination Channel
On January 16, the Feidoodoo delegation held talks with Hanif Yusoof, Presidential Advisor at the Sri Lankan Presidential Secretariat and Governor of the Western Province. Hanif Yusoof warmly welcomed the delegation and provided a detailed overview of Sri Lanka’s economic development status, industrial support policies, and international cooperation priorities.
Yin Haifeng stated that the company remains committed to promoting the modernization and transformation of industrial and supply chains through the industrial internet and digital technologies, and looks forward to conducting pragmatic cooperation with Sri Lanka in areas such as industrial upgrading and economic and trade collaboration to jointly explore new development opportunities.
Hanif Yusoof highly praised Feidoodoo’s professional capabilities and cooperation vision, and explicitly committed to actively assisting in establishing an efficient government–enterprise communication mechanism, providing comprehensive support for the smooth advancement of subsequent cooperation.
Visit to the Ministry of Agriculture: Joint Discussions on Agricultural Modernization
Subsequently, the delegation held a dedicated meeting with Hon. Minister K. D. Lalkantha, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands, and Irrigation of Sri Lanka. The Minister stated that, in accordance with guidance from the Presidential Secretariat, the government will fully coordinate resources to comprehensively support in-depth cooperation between Chinese enterprises and Sri Lanka in the agricultural sector, focusing on practical measures such as agricultural input introduction, agricultural technology promotion, and production-sales linkage of agricultural products.
Through coordinated government–enterprise efforts, both sides aim to jointly advance Sri Lanka’s agricultural modernization process, fully demonstrating the Sri Lankan government’s high level of attention and firm commitment to cooperation with Feidoodoo.
Visit to the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development: Exploring Industrial Digitalization and Cooperation Paths
On the same day, the delegation was also warmly received by the Sri Lanka Board of Investment and Hon. Minister Sunil Handunneththi, Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development. Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on core topics including industrial transformation, entrepreneurial ecosystem development, and empowerment of traditional industries through the industrial internet, with particular focus on aligning Feidoodoo’s mature experience in industrial digitalization and collaborative supply chain management with Sri Lanka’s industrial development needs.
In particular, in-depth discussions were held on implementation paths for joint construction of cross-border industrial parks and overseas warehouse network deployment.
During the meeting, Yin Haifeng provided a detailed introduction to IBI and Feidoodoo’s “1750 Development Strategy”, as well as their practical achievements in establishing overseas warehouses and cross-border service systems in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East. The Sri Lankan side expressed strong recognition of Feidoodoo’s model of restructuring industrial chains through digital means and improving operational efficiency, and looked forward to leveraging Feidoodoo’s platform advantages and technical expertise to promote digital upgrading of local core industries such as agriculture and manufacturing. Preliminary consensus was reached on subsequent industrial innovation cooperation and joint construction of digital cooperation platforms.
Visit to Vidullanka PLC: Exploring Green Energy Cooperation Opportunities
On January 18, the delegation held a dedicated meeting with Vidullanka PLC, a listed company in Sri Lanka, focusing on cooperation in the green energy sector. Both sides exchanged views on renewable energy development and utilization, including solar and wind power, coordinated operation of energy projects, and integrated development of green agriculture and new energy, actively exploring green synergy opportunities aligned with both parties’ development strategies.
Through concrete actions, the cooperation aims to practice sustainable development principles and promote the implementation of China–Sri Lanka green and low-carbon cooperation.
Participation in the China–Sri Lanka Agricultural Science and Technology Exchange Week
On January 19, the Feidoodoo team was invited to attend the 6th International Green Plant Protection Innovation Conference and the China–Sri Lanka Agricultural Science and Technology and Cultural Exchange Week, hosted by the China Crop Protection Industry Association.
During the event, the Feidoodoo team engaged in in-depth exchanges with agricultural experts and enterprise representatives from around the world on green plant protection technologies and sustainable agricultural input application practices, accurately connecting with high-quality international resources. This further integrated Feidoodoo into the global green agriculture cooperation network, enabled sharing of industry innovation achievements, and strengthened its international discourse power and influence in green agriculture and sustainable agricultural inputs.
This visit to Sri Lanka represents an important practical step for Feidoodoo in implementing the Belt and Road Initiative and advancing its global strategy. It not only established direct and efficient cooperation mechanisms with local government agencies and key enterprises, but also built diversified cooperation frameworks across agriculture, energy, and logistics, achieving steady progress from strategic alignment to pragmatic cooperation.
