On January 12, a delegation from the Pakistan Regional Economic Forum (PREF) visited IBI Toodudu.

Haron Sharif, former Minister of State of Pakistan and former Chairman of the Board of Investment, held a high-level meeting with Liu Zhai, Senior Vice President of IBI and CEO of Toodudu, among others.
The two sides conducted exchanges around strategic topics including deepened cooperation under the framework of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor, industrial digitalization, and the integrated development of cross-border trade, jointly exploring how to empower bilateral economic and trade exchanges through digital technologies and promote high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.

During the visit, the delegation toured the Digital Economy Exhibition Hall, gaining an understanding of IBI’s current Duoduo platform operation model, cross-border operation strategies for industrial clusters, as well as the technical applications and practical strategies of IBI Cloud.

During the exchange, Haron Sharif spoke highly of IBI’s deep engagement and innovative achievements in the field of the industrial internet.
He stated:

“As an important partner country of the Belt and Road Initiative, Pakistan has achieved fruitful results in pragmatic cooperation with China in various fields in recent years. Pakistan possesses abundant natural resources, a young population structure, and broad market potential, with particularly large cooperation space in areas such as agriculture, mining, textiles, and infrastructure.
We highly value and welcome leading Chinese digital economy enterprises like IBI to invest and operate in Pakistan. We look forward to deepening cooperation in cross-border e-commerce, industrial digital upgrading, and supply chain integration, jointly enhancing the efficiency and scale of import and export trade in key industries between China and Pakistan, and building a new model of mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation.”

Liu Zhai stated:

“We attach great importance to the Pakistani market and have already established a solid foundation of communication and cooperation with relevant Pakistani institutions and enterprises in the early stage.
Taking this visit as an opportunity, the company plans to establish a regional digital economy headquarters in Pakistan this year, aiming to more closely connect with local industrial needs, integrate resources from both sides, and empower the development of Pakistan’s characteristic industrial clusters through digital platforms.
We look forward to working closely with the Pakistani government, enterprises, and organizations such as PREF to jointly explore new models of digital cooperation that align with the interests of both countries, and inject new industrial momentum into China–Pakistan relations.”

Participants in the meeting also included Khalid Mansoor, former Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for China–Pakistan Economic Corridor Affairs and former Minister of State; Naghmana Hashmi Khan Hashmi, former Ambassador of Pakistan to China; Muhammad bin Sadiq, former Vice Chief of the Naval Staff, former Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, and former Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation; Zhao Yan, Vice President of IBI, Founder and CEO of Boododo; Hu Kun, Vice President of Toodudu and General Manager of Yiyoudodo; Kadir, Vice President of Toodudu and General Manager of the Cross-Border Strategic Planning Department; and Danyal, Vice President of Toodudu and General Manager of TDD Global.
