Liu Quan Attends the 30th Anniversary of the China Capital Market Forum
From January 10 to 11, 2026, the 30th (2026) China Capital Market Forum was grandly held at Beijing Friendship Hotel. Co-hosted by the National Academy of Financial Research (NAFR) and the School of Finance, Renmin University of China, the forum was themed “China’s Capital Market: History and the Future.”
The event brought together more than 1,200 representatives from government, industry, academia, and research institutions to review the 30-year development of China’s capital market and to explore reform directions and future trends under the vision of building a strong financial system. Liu Quan, Founder and Chairman of IBI, was invited to attend the forum.

As one of the most influential and benchmark forums in China’s capital market, this year’s event marked the 30th anniversary of the forum’s establishment. The agenda featured keynote speeches, the Presidents’ Forum, roundtable discussions, and the “NAFR Evening Talks,” covering a wide range of topics including restructuring the capital market ecosystem, financial structural transformation, and the growth logic of capital markets.

During the forum, Liu Quan participated in the Roundtable Discussion: “How to Foster the Healthy Development of China’s Capital Market.”
The session was moderated by Yao Zhenshan, host of CCTV Finance Channel, and Xiu Xiaosi, Assistant President of Caijing Magazine. Liu Quan joined leading scholars and entrepreneurs including Wan Zhe, Professor at Beijing Normal University; Wang Wenjing, Chairman and CEO of Yonyou Network; Li Jun, Chairman of Leyard Group; Li Ping, Chairman of Eastsoft Communication; Dan Bin, Chairman of Orient Harbor; Lin Yixiang, Chairman of Tianxiang Investment; and He Qiang, Professor at the School of Finance, Central University of Finance and Economics, in an in-depth dialogue and exchange of ideas.

Drawing on IBI’s pioneering practices in industrial internet platform development, supply chain digitalization, and real-economy empowerment, Liu Quan elaborated on the critical role of a healthy and dynamic capital market in supporting technological innovation, fostering new quality productive forces, and driving industrial upgrading. He emphasized the profound significance of deep integration between industrial innovation and capital flows in building a modern industrial system.
During the forum, the landmark publication series “China Capital Market Studies: 30 Years in 30 Volumes” was officially released. Compiling three decades of academic research from the forum, the series systematically maps the reform and development trajectory of China’s capital market and is widely regarded as a chronicle-style intellectual history of China’s capital market, providing solid academic foundations and structured discourse support for high-quality capital market development and the construction of a financial powerhouse.

Over the past 30 years, the China Capital Market Forum has consistently aligned with the pulse of China’s financial reforms, contributing influential “RUC solutions” at pivotal moments such as the split-share structure reform, the development of the ChiNext board, and the advancement toward a strong financial system. It has become a high ground for theoretical exploration, a frontier for intellectual exchange, and a cradle for talent cultivation in China’s capital market.
Liu Quan’s participation in the 30th China Capital Market Forum represents recognition of IBI’s innovative achievements in industrial digitalization.
