On December 11, Shehzad Ahmad Khan, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Shanghai, paid a visit to IBI (Beijing United Information Technology Co., Ltd.). He held discussions with Liu Quan, Founder and Chairman of IBI, and Liu Zhai, Senior Vice President of IBI and CEO of Toodudu (TDD), focusing on topics including Belt and Road industrial collaboration, cross-border supply chain services, and cooperation in the automotive parts and cold-chain packaging sectors. The meeting explored digital cooperation opportunities in the context of the high-quality development of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The delegation toured IBI’s Digital Economy Exhibition Hall and gained insight into the company’s Duoduo platform operating model, cross-border industrial cluster strategy, as well as the technological applications and practical solutions of IBI Cloud. Consul General Shehzad Ahmad Khan noted that the Government of Pakistan is vigorously advancing the “Pakistan Vision 2030”, which places industrialization and digital economic transformation at its core. The development of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor has opened broad space for industrial cooperation between the two countries.

He highlighted that Pakistan has a solid industrial foundation in areas such as automotive manufacturing and agricultural processing, and a strong demand for high-quality automotive components as well as advanced cold-chain packaging technologies and equipment. He suggested that the two sides focus on deep cooperation in automotive parts supply chain integration and cold-chain technology upgrading, and jointly explore leveraging Pakistan’s geographical advantages and free trade agreements to extend cooperation outcomes to Middle Eastern markets, including Saudi Arabia, thereby achieving tripartite win-win results.

Liu Quan stated that IBI regards cross-border industrial cluster development as a key pillar of its “third growth curve”, and has successfully implemented multiple cross-border projects in several Belt and Road countries, including Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. He noted that during the visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to China in September this year, IBI had the honor of participating in related activities and engaging in in-depth exchanges with the Prime Minister, which further strengthened the company’s confidence in the Pakistani market.

Taking this meeting as an opportunity, IBI hopes to accelerate the planning and implementation of the IBI Pakistan Digital Economy Headquarters, using it as a strategic anchor to deeply integrate industrial resources from both countries. He emphasized that IBI is willing to fully leverage its industrial internet platform as a bridge, providing one-stop digital supply chain services to support cross-border cooperation between Chinese and Pakistani enterprises in sectors such as automotive, cold-chain logistics, and building materials, and to contribute digital momentum to the high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.

Qadir, Vice President of Toodudu and General Manager of Cross-Border Strategy Planning, and Daniel, Vice President of Toodudu and General Manager of TDD Global, also participated in the exchange.
