Toodudu Visits Oman to Explore Opportunities in Chromite Resources and Cross-Border Supply Chain Collaboration
Recently, under the leadership of Dong Guoming, Director of the Second Geological Brigade of Hebei Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, and Yu Deli, Chairman of Xufeng Construction Group, a delegation led by Chen Haoyuan, Assistant to the President of Toodudu (TDD), visited Oman for an on-site study. The visit focused on discussions related to chromite, gold, and copper polymetallic mineral exploration, resource development, import and export, digital supply chain services, and cross-border financial cooperation. The delegation also met with the CEO of Sohar Bank, Abdulwahid.
Located on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula, Oman is a key mineral and energy producer in the Middle East. Beyond petroleum and natural gas, Oman possesses rich mining resources. Its strategic location at the crossroads of Asia, Africa, and Europe makes it an important port nation along the Arabian Sea, home to modern deep-water ports such as Sohar Port and Port of Salalah. Oman is actively developing its re-export economy and aspires to become an international logistics hub connecting East and West. In recent years, the Omani government has vigorously promoted economic diversification, continuously improving the investment environment in manufacturing, logistics, and cross-border trade, and shifting from traditional oil development toward comprehensive exploitation of chromite, gold, copper, and other mineral resources.
MDO, a state-owned enterprise responsible for Oman’s integrated mining development, focuses on investing in and conducting mineral exploration activities across the country. The company develops upstream and downstream mining projects targeting strategic mineral varieties, collaborating with well-known domestic and international mining enterprises to accelerate the commercialization of Oman’s abundant mineral resources.
OCC, another state-owned enterprise specializing in mining, is primarily engaged in chromite mining, geological research, production, processing, and mineral sales. The company is committed to improving ore concentration, enhancing the added value of locally produced minerals, and advancing geological and underground mining research on multiple mineral categories—all aimed at building a new development landscape centered on chromite while progressing in parallel across various mineral resources.
During the meeting, Chen Haoyuan stated that Toodudu, as a B2B industrial internet platform under IBI, is dedicated to deep supply chain integration across industrial value chains and is actively advancing its cross-border operations in regions such as the Middle East and Central Asia in response to the Belt and Road Initiative. He emphasized that this visit aims to leverage Toodudu’s platform capabilities and digital supply chain services to establish practical cooperation with local Omani partners in areas including the import and export of chromite, copper, and gold polymetallic resources, digital supply chain solutions, and cross-border financial services—creating shared development opportunities.
This visit to Oman not only strengthened mutual understanding between Chinese and Omani enterprises in the mineral supply chain sector but also laid a solid foundation for building Belt and Road cross-border cooperation mechanisms. Moving forward, Toodudu will continue to leverage the advantages of its industrial internet platform, working hand in hand with global partners to expand innovation in mineral resources and digital supply chain development. The company remains committed to injecting new momentum into international industrial collaboration and cross-border economic connectivity.
