Lize Financial Business District Showcases Green Finance Innovations at the 5th China–Brazil Dialogue on Green Finance and Sustainable Agriculture
The 5th Annual China–Brazil Dialogue on Green Finance and Sustainable Agriculture was recently held in São Paulo, Brazil. The event was jointly organized by the Institute of Finance and Sustainability (Beijing), the Brazil–China Business Council, and the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network.
As the core hub for Beijing’s green finance innovation, the Lize Financial Business District presented its “Finance + Technology + Ecology” development practices—demonstrating how it is driving international cooperation in green finance and sustainable agriculture. At the event, Grain & Oil Duoduo E-Commerce Co., Ltd., an IBI-affiliated enterprise based in Fengtai District, signed agreements totaling USD 3.5 million with three Brazilian companies. The cooperation covers the export of UAV-based crop protection equipment and agricultural procurement, with a plan to establish a China–Brazil sesame and pulses exchange platform in Fengtai District.
As the central area for green finance development in Fengtai District, the Lize Financial Business District continues to strengthen its green development profile. Leveraging the dual advantages of being a national FinTech Innovation Demonstration Zone and a Beijing Ecological Demonstration Zone, Lize has attracted more than 1,400 high-quality enterprises, nearly 40% of which are in the financial sector.
In supporting the real economy, Lize has launched multiple “global firsts” and “national firsts,” including the market’s first swap linked to a “carbon reduction index,” the first “UAV + carbon satellite” certified green bond, and the first OTC option linked to EU carbon emission allowances. To date, the area has generated more than 50 innovative cases and financial products. It has also initiated the establishment of the ESG Low-Carbon Finance Alliance and the Lize Cross-Border Finance Alliance, forming a collaborative partner ecosystem and shaping the “Fengtai Model” of green finance. These mature financial ecosystems and clear green finance orientations jointly provide replicable models and practical platforms for cross-border green cooperation.

This dialogue serves as a concrete step in advancing the China–Brazil community of shared future and deepening South–South cooperation. It will further promote project matchmaking and practical outcomes in areas such as sustainable agricultural transformation and ecological protection. By sharing its integrated practices of “Finance + Technology + Ecology,” the Lize Financial Business District is positioning itself as a frontier hub for emerging finance and high-tech innovation, fulfilling its mission as a testing ground for financial reform in the capital, and contributing Chinese experience to global green finance, agricultural transformation, and the building of a shared future for all life on Earth.
