6.18 Flash Report: Group Buying, Livestreaming & Powder Festival—Industrial Goods & Raw Materials Went Full-Throttle!
At 21:00 on June 18, IBI’s 6.18 Industrial Goods/Raw Materials E-commerce Festival wrapped up. During the event, across TDD (Toodudu), WDD, BDD, FDD, ZDD and LYDD, the platforms achieved ¥311 million in group-buy orders and ¥178 million in livestream sales, with 106,400 total livestream viewers.
Group buying and pooled procurement are core self-operated playbooks for Duoduo E-commerce. Over the 6.18 period, each platform teamed up with leading suppliers to launch 100+ discounted group-buy SKUs, attracting strong interest and participation from platform users and industry buyers.
Industrial livestreaming on Duoduo has now entered its fourth season. On 6.18, four shows went live in parallel, covering premium products from the titanium, alcohols, resins, medical supplies, agri-inputs, hygiene products, and grain & oil value chains. Guided by pro hosts, buyers went into “buy, buy, buy” mode—submitting requests and matching demand via the livestream and hotlines.
During the “Hi-Energy 6.18” main show, TDD CEO Liu Zhai joined as a guest and unveiled the new SaaS service “Duoxiaoke”. Designed to deepen engagement with the creator/agent community and scale it up, Duoxiaoke helps professionals with resources and technical service capability monetize their value, further expanding the platforms’ proprietary traffic channels.
In the “WDD × LYDD: Caring Hearts, Shared Dreams” charity-themed stream, WDD and LYDD co-hosted with suppliers such as Heyirong Group, Piaoh e Paper, and Ruoyu Paper—using livestreaming both to launch new products and to showcase the social responsibility of the platforms and partner enterprises.
At FDD’s session, content was structured around nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and specialty fertilizers, bringing together 14 companies and 43 brands. A “Farm Inputs Encyclopedia”–style cross-over host paired with a dynamic professional emcee to energize the room, boosted by category-specific coupons and premium giveaways.
“Garnet sand: ¥10 per truck!” TDD’s traditional mid-year Powder Festival kicked off alongside 6.18. Calcium powder, mineral powders, talc, mica, pigment powders and more “powdered” their way onto the stage—once again turning the festival into a joint carnival for suppliers and third-party merchants.
From a B2B transaction beachhead, Duoduo E-commerce continues to explore innovations in industrial e-commerce and supply chains—committed to helping manufacturers reduce costs and increase efficiency.
