IBI Chairman Liu Quan Attends the 6th World Internet Conference and Participates in the "Industry Digitalization Forum" High-Level Dialogue

On October 20, the 6th World Internet Conference opened in Wuzhen, Zhejiang. IBI Chairman Liu Quan and CEO Qian Xiaojun were invited to attend the event.

President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the conference. Huang Kunming, a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Minister of the Publicity Department, attended the opening ceremony, read the congratulatory letter, and delivered the keynote speech. Wan Gang, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Wang Jiayi, Chairman of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, and Che Jun, Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, also attended. Xu Lin, Deputy Minister of the Publicity Department and Director of the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC), Xiao Yaqing, Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation, Li Baoshan, President of People’s Daily, Xu Lejiang, Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee and Party Secretary of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), and other notable leaders attended. The event was hosted by Xu Lin.

The conference’s theme was “Smart Connectivity, Open Cooperation—Building a Community of Shared Future in Cyberspace.” Key figures from major tech companies, including Ma Yun (Jack Ma), Founder of Alibaba; Ma Huateng, Chairman and CEO of Tencent; Li Yanhong, Chairman and CEO of Baidu; Lei Jun, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi; Zhang Chaoyang, Chairman and CEO of Sohu; Ding Lei, Chairman and CEO of NetEase; Wang Xing, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Meituan, and other global internet leaders, alongside representatives from Apple, Huawei, Amazon, and other world-leading internet companies, gathered with around 1,500 guests from over 80 countries and regions.

The "Industry Digitalization Forum" attracted significant attention during the event. Liu Liehong, Deputy Director of the Cyberspace Administration of China, Weng Jiemei, Deputy Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and Zhang Lei, Founder and CEO of Hillhouse Capital, delivered remarks at the forum. IBI Chairman Liu Quan was invited to participate in the high-level dialogue at the forum.

During the discussion, Liu Quan and other prominent figures, including Zhou Zhiqiang, Chairman of China Communications Construction Company, Hao Zhaoping, Vice General Manager of Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Yao Qiang, Deputy General Manager of China Power Construction Group, Chen Wenyuan, CEO of Walmart China, Yuan Zheng, Founder and CEO of ZOOM, Deng Weinan, General Manager of Schlumberger North Asia, and Yu Chentao, Chief Scientist and Vice President of Lenovo Group, discussed the theme of "Challenges in Digital Business and Smart Production."

Sasha, Senior Partner of McKinsey & Company, who hosted the session, highlighted that “Industry Internet has become a key focus of this conference's capital track. IBI is one of the few industry internet companies listed on the A-share market, and its development path in industry internet and industrial intelligence is worth learning from."

Liu Quan shared, "IBI had the privilege of becoming the first A-share listed company focused on industry internet. Major funds, including social security funds, China Life, and China Universal, became our investors, reflecting the capital market's enthusiasm and confidence in the development of industry internet." He pointed out, "Industry internet doesn’t appear overnight; it has evolved through stages such as information exchange and industrial e-commerce. For IBI, we started from vertical industry directories to IBI Resource Network for information exchange, industrial e-commerce transactions, and now the industry internet platform. Over nearly 20 years, we have continuously focused on the industry data and resource field, laying the groundwork for the growth of industry internet platforms."

Liu Quan further emphasized, “Industry internet is a crucial driver for the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy. With industrial e-commerce as our foundation and big data as our support, IBI will continue to harness the power of the internet, IoT, and smart manufacturing technologies to drive industrial transformation and demonstrate the value of our business.”
