IBI and National Engineering Laboratory for E-commerce Transaction Technology Jointly Establish “Intelligent and Trusted Industrial Ecosystem Technology Innovation Center”
On December 17, IBI (Beijing United Information Technology Co., Ltd.) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the National Engineering Laboratory for E-commerce Transaction Technology, marking the joint establishment of the Intelligent and Trusted Industrial Ecosystem Technology Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the Innovation Center).
The signing ceremony was witnessed by IBI Chairman Liu Quan and Ebrun Chairman Zheng Min. The agreement was formally signed by IBI President Qian Xiaojun and Professor Chai Yue-ting, Director of the National Engineering Laboratory for E-commerce Transaction Technology at Tsinghua University, Head of the National E-commerce Demonstration City Expert Group, and Chief Expert of the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Modern Service Industry Program.
The National Engineering Laboratory for E-commerce Transaction Technology, established in 2013 under the approval of the National Development and Reform Commission, is China’s first national-level scientific research and engineering application institution in the field of e-commerce, relying on Tsinghua University and related units.
The Innovation Center will focus on the deep-integration fields of the industrial internet, fully incorporating artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain technologies. It aims to develop an intelligent and trusted industrial internet service platform that ensures the credibility of all connected participants — enterprises, institutions, and individuals — as well as the authenticity of traded products, services, and transactions. The platform will enable autonomous control of business data, protection of trade secrets and personal privacy, and trustworthy digital trading processes.
The Innovation Center will also research and develop:
-
Intelligent trading models to enhance industrial-chain transaction efficiency;
-
Customized digital solutions for enterprises;
-
A digitally driven, trusted, and efficient industrial ecosystem supporting sustainable growth.
This collaboration will further enhance IBI’s research capabilities and innovation strength, while promoting the company’s strategic vision of “Platform, Technology, and Data.”
Leveraging the Innovation Center, Tsinghua University’s National Engineering Laboratory and IBI will jointly integrate top expert resources to strengthen platform service capabilities, service product innovation, and efficient application of industrial big data. The Center will empower IBI to continue exploring the application of Internet, IoT, AI, blockchain, and intelligent manufacturing technologies in traditional industries — helping manufacturing enterprises reduce costs, improve efficiency, and build a collaborative, intelligent industrial-internet ecosystem.
Dr. Huang Yadong (Tsinghua University National Engineering Laboratory), IBI Senior Vice President Wang Ting, Chief Financial Officer Tian Tao, and Assistant President Liu Rui also attended the signing ceremony and discussion session.
