IBI: Leveraging Its Role as an Industrial Internet Chain Leader to Promote Supply Chain Connectivity and Innovative Applications
Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly issued the Notice on the Implementation Plan for Revitalizing Industrial Economic Operations and Promoting High-Quality Industrial Development. The notice proposed the implementation of a “1+N” industrial chain and supply chain integration project in key sectors, aiming to promote collaborative innovation among upstream, midstream, and downstream enterprises of all sizes and to accelerate the integrated development of industrial and supply chains. It also explicitly called for “in-depth promotion of nationwide demonstration initiatives for supply chain innovation and application.”
For many years, IBI has actively responded to national industrial policy directives. In May 2021, the company was selected as one of the first batch of “National Demonstration Enterprises for Supply Chain Innovation and Application,” jointly reviewed and approved by eight key ministries and organizations — including the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the People’s Bank of China, the State Administration for Market Regulation, the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, and the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. IBI’s integrated “Duoduo platform” operational model and its digital supply chain system construction received high recognition from the authorities.
In addition, the company’s related projects were successively selected for several national demonstration initiatives, including the “Internet and Manufacturing Deep Integration Pilot Project,” the “2020 Industrial Internet Pilot Demonstration Project,” and the “2021 Big Data Industry Development Pilot Demonstration Project.”
Based on the scale trading, deep supply chain, and cloud factory foundations of the Duoduo e-commerce platforms, IBI has built the “Digital Factory + PTDCloud Industrial Internet” framework through Guolian Cloud, enabling digitalization in production, management, quality inspection, energy consumption, and logistics. The company has also developed digital supply chain systems such as the Intelligent Logistics Platform, Cloud Warehouse Platform, and Digital Port Zone to realize smart logistics, digital warehousing, and electronic CA-based settlement. Furthermore, it has built a remote work and cloud sales system integrating live streaming, video conferencing, and cloud VR, thereby cultivating a robust cloud-based SaaS service ecosystem.
By reinforcing the industrial supply chain through industrial e-commerce, extending the chain via industrial internet, and strengthening it with industrial big data, IBI continues to drive the integration and innovation of industrial and supply chain development.
