Actively participating in the forum, President Qian Xiaojun delivered a thematic presentation on the Industrial Metaverse during the preparatory session. He emphasized that IBI is highly focused on the deep application of metaverse underlying technologies within industrial and supply chains, particularly the progressive system of digital twins, digital companions, and digital natives in the industrial domain. This focus aligns with the company’s Platform–Technology–Data strategy and the ongoing construction of its digital factory framework.

Qian highlighted that, in a strict sense, all digital twin scenarios fall within the broader scope of the metaverse. IBI has been steadily advancing projects such as digital cloud factories, VR-based factories, and digital supply chains, aiming to enable deeper integration between metaverse technologies and the real economy—thereby unlocking greater industrial value.

He also noted that JD.com’s recent introduction of the concept of the “Industrial Metaverse” further underscored the strategic importance of building next-generation digital–intelligent social supply chain infrastructure. Qian expressed strong alignment with JD’s vision, emphasizing that IBI, as an active practitioner in metaverse technology applications, will continue to leverage the recreative power of the digital world and accelerate the progress of industrial digitalization.
