From September 22 to 24, the 2025 Qingdao–Thailand Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum was successfully held. IBI’s CNAUTO platform was invited to attend, together with Haier Group, Shandong Port Qingdao Port Group, Sailun Group, and Shandong Energy Qingdao Hongjin International Co., Ltd., to jointly explore pathways and mechanisms for deepening Qingdao–Thailand economic and trade cooperation. The forum was led by Zeng Zanrong, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee. Government and business representatives gathered in Bangkok, Thailand, to build consensus on industrial collaboration and overseas expansion.
At the meeting, Zeng Zanrong emphasized that economic and trade cooperation should serve as a key bridge to connect local enterprises with the Thai market. By leveraging the resource advantages of leading enterprises, both sides aim to build an efficient overseas supply chain system to support industrial upgrading and international development.
Su Jianguang, Chairman of Shandong Port Qingdao Port Group, spoke on the construction of port logistics channels and highlighted efforts to optimize sea–land transport networks to support enterprises’ overseas business expansion.
During the exchange session, Huang Xiaokui, General Manager of Xinyuanda Rubber (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a representative enterprise in Thailand’s rubber and tire sector, introduced Thailand’s resource advantages and cross-border cooperation needs. His insights provided a localized perspective for collaboration in the Qingdao–Thailand rubber and tire industry chain, further consolidating the foundation for cooperation.
Zhang Wei, Vice President of IBI and CEO of CNAUTO, shared insights on digital technology empowering cross-border supply chains, based on IBI’s industrial internet practices. He proposed a cooperation model of “Digital Cloud Factory + Overseas Central Warehouse,” which was well received by participants.
After the forum, IBI actively responded to the cooperation initiatives and, together with Shandong Energy Qingdao Hongjin International Co., Ltd., visited Xinyuanda’s factory to advance the implementation of deep overseas supply chains and digital cloud factories.
Gao Feng, Chairman of Shandong Energy Qingdao Hongjin, expressed willingness to work with IBI to integrate energy and industrial resources, enhance digital management of overseas production bases, and reduce supply chain costs.
Looking ahead, IBI plans to partner with more organizations to establish overseas central warehouses for agricultural products, minerals, and rubber tires in Thailand. By leveraging localized warehousing networks, the company aims to shorten supply chain response times, improve cross-border product circulation efficiency, and further deepen Qingdao–Thailand cooperation in advantageous industries, injecting new momentum into regional economic and trade development.
