IBI Ranks 8th in the “Internet Industry ESG Index Report”
On September 29, 2022, Professor Zhang En of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, together with the Responsibility Cloud Research Institute, released the “Internet Industry ESG Index Report” in Beijing.
The report comprehensively considered factors such as corporate vertical segments, brand awareness, market influence, and market value, covering 11 high-profile sectors including e-commerce, social platforms, live streaming, software services, and mobile terminals. Based on these, an ESG evaluation framework was established, drawing on both domestic and international CSR/ESG standards. The model incorporates three dimensions—ESG governance, social value, and risk management—refined into 12 thematic areas and more than 70 indicators. ESG scores were then determined by matching publicly disclosed corporate ESG information and third-party data.
In this study, IBI achieved a score of 69.5, ranking 8th overall. The company has closely aligned with national priorities in industrial digitalization, industrial internet, and supply chain innovation, vigorously implementing its strategic focus on industrial digitalization and the industrial internet. By promoting the integration of digital technology with traditional industries, IBI advances new development concepts and focuses on three major areas: responsibility management, collaborative development, and community harmony.
Over the past decade, the internet industry has grown rapidly, penetrating nearly every aspect of social and economic life and generating profound impacts.
Since 2021, a series of policies and regulations—including the Cybersecurity Law, Data Security Law, Personal Information Protection Law, and the 14th Five-Year Plan for Digital Economy Development—have been successively introduced. These policies have clarified new directions for internet enterprises, reshaped their missions, and set higher requirements for corporate social responsibility. Strengthening ESG management and practices while leveraging the digital economy to support high-quality socio-economic development has become the only viable path for sustainable growth in the internet sector.
Looking ahead, IBI will continue to build on its advantages, further enhancing capabilities in responsibility management, collaborative development, and community harmony. The company remains committed to fulfilling its responsibilities and mission within the broader framework of economic, environmental, and social development, contributing to global sustainable growth.
