Recently, the inaugural conference of the Virtual Reality and Metaverse Industry Alliance (XRMA) was held online. Participants joined through multiple terminals such as VR headsets, PCs, and mobile phones, experiencing the event in an immersive way. Leaders from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, and the Shijingshan District Government attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. IBI, together with Huawei, Beihang University, China Mobile Research Institute, BOE, Qualcomm, and Baidu, participated in the launching ceremony as Vice Chairman Members of the Alliance.

The XRMA, led by CAICT and established jointly with its ecosystem partners, builds upon the framework of the Virtual Reality Promotion Council (VRPC). It is an alliance dedicated to exploring new opportunities and challenges brought by the concept of the metaverse in creating a digitally integrated virtual–real network space. The Alliance will conduct research on critical issues related to technology pathways, industrial development, and scenario applications of the metaverse, viewed from technological, economic, and social perspectives. It will also organize seminars and exchanges, carry out systematic studies on technologies, industries, standards, and applications related to the metaverse, encourage collaborative initiatives among its members in key areas, and foster consensus to promote the healthy and orderly development of the ecosystem.

IBI attaches great importance to the deep application of underlying metaverse technologies within industrial and supply chains. Leveraging digital twin, blockchain, and other advanced technologies, the company has independently developed an industrial metaverse project aimed at driving the digital upgrade of production, warehousing, and logistics through digital twin modeling and simulation training in virtual environments. In addition, IBI is also building application scenarios for academic exchanges and expert training, thereby comprehensively enhancing the digital experience of enterprises along the industrial chain.
