On the morning of April 1, 2023, the China–Malaysia Business Event and Industry Leaders Roundtable, hosted by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia, was held at the China World Hotel in Beijing. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar, Minister of Foreign Affairs Zambry, Minister of International Trade and Industry Tengku Zafrul, and other senior officials attended the event. Also present were representatives from Huawei, Alibaba, Chery, Geely, Panpan Foods, Camel Group, and other enterprises. Mr. Wang Ting, Director and Senior Vice President of IBI, and Ms. Ji Jingjing, CEO of Lydodo, were invited to attend the roundtable as part of the China–Malaysia business exchange.

The roundtable brought together over 30 leading entrepreneurs from across China. It aimed to emphasize and deepen trade relations between the two countries, strengthen attention to and understanding of Malaysia through face-to-face exchanges with the Malaysian government, and promote stronger economic cooperation.

Malaysia is rich in natural resources and is a very important source country for Lydodo’s demand. The platform has already engaged in discussions and business layouts in several segments. The Malaysian Commercial Counsellor in China has visited Lydodo multiple times to discuss cooperation, while Lydodo has also conducted field visits and studies in Malaysia, particularly in palm oil and related industries. In addition, it has established strong ties with government bodies such as the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), as well as with leading enterprises in the palm oil sector, including Sime Darby, FGV, and Mewah.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the China–Malaysia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and next year will be the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. For 14 consecutive years, China has remained Malaysia’s largest trading partner, with bilateral trade volume surpassing USD 200 billion last year. Against the backdrop of such close ties and favorable trade activities, Lydodo will continue to align with policies, strengthen its efforts across multiple fronts, promote dual circulation in imports and exports, and contribute to the high-quality development of China–Malaysia economic cooperation.
