Huawei Cloud and Partners Including IBI Establish Industrial Digitalization Innovation Consortium
On May 16, at the 2023 Huawei Cloud City Summit themed “Deepening Digital Intelligence to Make Life Better”, Huawei Cloud, together with Ebrun Think Tank, IBI, AVIC Supply Chain, Eman Technology, and Huaihui Zhilian, jointly initiated the establishment of the Industrial Digitalization Innovation Consortium under the Application Modernization Industry Alliance.
The consortium aims to bring together leading enterprises and industrial operators in the field of industrial digitalization to advance application modernization in the industrial sector, build an industrial digitalization innovation ecosystem, and support the integration and upgrading of regional industrial clusters.
Participants of the founding ceremony included Huang Jin, Vice President of Huawei Cloud Computing; Xiao Yi, CTO of Huawei Cloud China and Director of Huawei Cloud Ecosystem Solutions Department; Zhang Meifu, Vice President & CTO of IBI; Zheng Min, Chairman of Ebrun; Ge Xuyang, Director of Supplier Management Department of AVIC International Supply Chain Technology Co., Ltd.; Zheng Canjian, General Manager of South China Region of Wuhan Eman Technology Co., Ltd.; Quan Wei, Deputy General Manager of Dongguan Transportation Technology Co., Ltd.; and Zhou Taili, Executive President of Huaihui Zhilian Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd.
As industrial enterprises accelerate their digital transformation, application modernization has become an industry consensus. Traditional enterprise applications based on monolithic architecture and physical machine deployment can no longer meet the needs of rapid business development. Instead, they must evolve into modernized cloud-based applications. This process requires the participation of various stakeholders across the industrial chain, including cloud providers, industry think tanks, leading enterprises, software vendors, and consulting institutions.
With the establishment of the Industrial Digitalization Innovation Consortium, the alliance will pool strengths from across the industry chain, leverage the advantages of its members, and help industrial enterprises accelerate application modernization, deepen digital transformation, and achieve high-quality development.
