On November 24, the 2023 China Vanadium-Titanium Forum and Strategic Seminar on Comprehensive Utilization of Vanadium-Titanium Resources was successfully held in Panzhihua, Sichuan Province. The event was guided by the Panzhihua Municipal People’s Government, the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, and the China National Coatings Industry Association; hosted by the National Vanadium-Titanium Industry Alliance and the Sichuan Vanadium-Titanium Steel Industry Association; and co-organized by Toodudu, Pangang Group, and LB Group. Liu Zhai, Senior Vice President of IBI, attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech titled “Practice and Exploration of Digital Transformation in the Vanadium-Titanium Industry.”

Themed “Vanadium-Titanium Powerhouse, Shared Prosperity,” the forum aimed to promote the high-quality development of China’s vanadium-titanium industry and contribute to building a strategic resource base and safeguarding national security in vanadium-titanium resources and industry. Leaders and representatives including Fan Jiyue, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Panzhihua Municipal Committee and Mayor of Panzhihua; Duan Debing, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee, Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association; Liu Shouhui, Second-Level Inspector of the Sichuan Development and Reform Commission; Wang Jianwei, Second-Level Inspector of the Sichuan Science and Technology Department; and Zhang Bangxu, Secretary-General of the National Vanadium-Titanium Industry Alliance, delivered speeches at the opening session.

The conference brought together over 600 participants, including government departments from major titanium-producing regions such as Chengde, Liangshan, Hami, and Neijiang, as well as leading enterprises in the vanadium-titanium supply chain, key companies, and experts and scholars from universities and research institutes.

Ten distinguished speakers, including Gan Yong (Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering), Wang Huaming (Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering), Xia Nong (Former First-Level Inspector of the Department of Industry, National Development and Reform Commission), Liu Qunyi (Director of the Strategic Research Office for Basic Mineral Resources, China Geological Survey), Liu Zhai (Senior Vice President of IBI), Chen Yong (General Manager of the Science and Technology Innovation Department, Pangang Group), and He Benliu (Chairman of LB Group), shared insights on industry trends, opportunities, and practical experience in the vanadium-titanium sector.

In her speech, Liu Zhai noted:

“The titanium industry chain is the core operating chain of Toodudu’s dual-line businesses in titanium dioxide and titanium materials, covering the entire chain from titanium ore (rutile), high-titanium slag, titanium tetrachloride, titanium dioxide, sponge titanium, to titanium materials.”

She further emphasized:

“Industrial digitalization is a key driver of innovation and upgrading. Based on IBI’s practices in the industrial digital economy, we focus on digitalization of transactions, supply chains, and production. By advancing order integration, digital cloud warehouses, intelligent logistics, and digital cloud factories, we are driving deep integration of the digital and real economies. This helps enterprises in the industry chain reduce costs and increase efficiency, while strengthening industrial big data assets and exploring applications in the industrial metaverse.”

Liu Zhai concluded:

“The industrial digital economy is an unstoppable trend. In ensuring the efficient and secure operation of the titanium industry chain, platforms like Toodudu, as representatives of the industrial digital economy, have enormous potential to play a transformative role.”

During the forum, Toodudu also hosted an exhibition booth, providing tangible demonstrations of its digitalization practices. The showcase attracted wide attention and engagement from participants across industries.
