Recently, Bai Yong, Vice President of Cross-Border Strategy at IBI; Yang Nan, Executive Director of Guojielianeng; and Shao Zhaojun, Senior Vice President of Toodudu, visited Jazan and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia at the invitation of local authorities. During the trip, the delegation met with the Governor of Jazan Province, the Mayor of Jazan City, and the Jazan Chamber of Commerce; as well as the Chairman of the China–Saudi Trade Advisory Committee in Riyadh, the Department of External Relations of the Ministry of Industry, the planning team of the China Town Project, and RIVA Trade Development Company, among other government officials, institutions, and organizations. The discussions explored multiple dimensions of potential deep cooperation between IBI and the Saudi region.

With the advancement of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the country is becoming a prime destination for Chinese enterprises going global. Its unique geographical location and market environment give it a clear advantage in building cross-border e-commerce platforms serving the Middle East and the world. Saudi government officials, institutions, and business leaders expressed hope to leverage IBI’s digital technology service capabilities in industrial e-commerce to establish cross-border e-commerce platforms while also developing local B2B e-commerce platforms to help traditional enterprises digitalize their transactions. They also proposed building an intelligent supply chain platform utilizing internet, IoT, and real-time tracking technologies to enable efficient and intelligent supply chain management. By applying big data analytics, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence — combined with Saudi consumer preferences — they aim to achieve “brand rejuvenation” and “re-export” of Chinese consumer goods in Saudi Arabia.

Bai Yong, CEO of IBI’s cross-border business, stated that IBI will fully leverage its extensive experience and technological advantages in B2B e-commerce, adapting to the specific conditions of the Saudi market. This includes providing comprehensive digital solutions and technical support in platform development, operations, and professional talent cultivation, with the goal of driving the “brand rejuvenation” and “re-export” of Chinese consumer and industrial goods in the Saudi market.

This visit laid a solid foundation for deeper cooperation between IBI and Saudi Arabia. Both sides will fully capitalize on their respective strengths to explore new areas of collaboration in cross-border e-commerce, contributing to the advancement of China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
