United in Purpose, Striving for Excellence — IBI Chairman Liu Quan Elected Vice President of the RUC Alumni Entrepreneurs Association
On May 18, the inaugural meeting of the Renmin University of China (RUC) Alumni Entrepreneurs Association was successfully held under the theme “United in Purpose, Striving for Excellence.” Liu Quan, Chairman of the Board of IBI, was invited to attend and was elected Vice President of the Association. Xu Hai, Founding Partner of Honghu Zhiyuan under IBI, was appointed Deputy Secretary-General of the First Council and was also named Career Development Mentor for RUC students.
The Association Officially Established
The event was attended by Qiu Xiaoping, Deputy Secretary-General of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), and Vice President of the China Private Entrepreneurs Association; Jiang Enlai, Vice President of the China Association of Higher Education; Li Jianming, Vice President of the China Enterprise Confederation; Zhang Donggang, Secretary of the CPC RUC Committee; Lin Shangli, President of RUC and President of the RUC Alumni Association; Zhang Jianming, Former Executive Deputy Secretary of the CPC RUC Committee and Vice President of the Alumni Association; Wu Xiaoqiu, Former Vice President of RUC and Vice President of the Alumni Association; and He Yaomin, Former Vice President of RUC and Vice President of the Alumni Association. Former CPPCC Vice Chairman and RUC alumnus Zhang Huaixi sent a congratulatory message. The meeting was hosted by Zheng Xinye, Vice President of RUC and Vice President of the Alumni Association.

Zhang Donggang stated that the establishment of the Alumni Entrepreneurs Association marks a new starting point for the university. Moving forward, the school will continue to unite, serve, support, and rely on its alumni, working together in unity, enhancing the warmth of alumni services, increasing the effectiveness of the Association’s operations, and deepening school-enterprise cooperation. He emphasized the goal of building a “community of shared destiny” between the alma mater and its alumni, contributing to the realization of RUC’s ambition to become a “world-class university that satisfies both the Party and the people” by its centenary in 2037, and to the national cause of modernization and rejuvenation.

Jiang Enlai noted that alumni are a valuable representation of their alma mater, and alumni entrepreneurs are a treasured social resource. The establishment of the Alumni Entrepreneurs Association provides a new dimension for alumni engagement, creating a development community characterized by information exchange, resource sharing, complementary advantages, and win-win cooperation. This will further promote cooperation between enterprises and the university, between enterprises and local governments, and among enterprises themselves.

President Lin Shangli read the Decision on the Establishment of the RUC Alumni Entrepreneurs Association. Together with Qiu Xiaoping, Jiang Enlai, Li Jianming, Zhang Donggang, Zhang Jianming, Wu Xiaoqiu, He Yaomin, and alumni entrepreneurs including Hong Qi, Li Jun, Wei Baochuan, Zhou Mingde, and Chen Xiangdong, he unveiled the plaque for the Association.

Vice President Zheng Xinye read the Decision on the Composition of the First Council of the RUC Alumni Entrepreneurs Association. Ye Chenghai, Duan Yongping, and Qiu Guogen were appointed Honorary Presidents; Zhang Jianming and Wu Xiaoqiu served as Presidents; and Hong Qi and Li Jun as Executive Presidents. Liu Quan, Chairman of IBI, together with Wei Baochuan, Zhou Mingde, and Chen Xiangdong, were elected Vice Presidents. Xu Hai, Founding Partner of Honghu Zhiyuan under IBI, was appointed Deputy Secretary-General of the First Council and Career Development Mentor for RUC students.

Liu Quan remarked that IBI has been deeply engaged in the industrial internet sector for over 20 years and will continue to adhere to its “platform, technology, and data”-driven industrial internet strategy. Leveraging the RUC Alumni Entrepreneurs Association, the company will help traditional SMEs achieve digital transformation, promote the development of the industrial digital economy, remain committed to innovation with integrity, and contribute to the university, empower fellow alumni, and create greater value for society.
