IBI’s CNAUTO Cross-Border Platform Grandly Launched in the UAE
On May 27, the 2024 Third UAE China Auto Parts & Equipment Expo officially opened at the Sharjah Expo Centre in the UAE.
With the momentum of breaking waves and forging ahead, under the witness of professional institutions, authoritative media, and leading enterprises in the domestic and international auto parts industry, IBI, in collaboration with Shandong Port Overseas Development Group (Shangang Group), held the global launch ceremony of the CNAUTO Cross-Border E-commerce Platform.
The event was attended by Sorayut Chasombat, Ambassador of Thailand to the UAE; Aklilu Kebede Erena, Consul General of Ethiopia in Dubai; Julio Maiato, Ambassador of Angola to the UAE; Marie Ndjeka Opombo, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the UAE; Diaby Vacaba, Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to the UAE; Ilmen Houki-Bounasri, Consul General of Tunisia in Dubai; and Ziva Rahaman, Consul General of Grenada in Dubai, who together witnessed the launch ceremony.
Wu Yi, Commercial Counsellor of the Consulate General of China in Dubai, delivered a speech at the ceremony. Distinguished guests included H.E. Sheikh Majid Faisal Khalid Al Qasemi, First Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Yang Xue, Representative of the Shandong Province Office for Economic and Trade Affairs in West Asia and Africa; Liu Zhai, Senior Vice President of IBI and Chairman of CNAUTO; Cong Guodong, Deputy General Manager of Shandong Port Overseas Development Group; Wang Dong, General Manager of Shandong Port West Asia International Co., Ltd.; Qu Yan, President of the Shandong Chamber of Commerce in the UAE; Fa Wenyuan, General Manager of Shandong Zhongzhan Exhibition & Trade Promotion Co., Ltd.; and Zou Xiaoxue, President of CNAUTO. Together, they participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony, officially announcing the start of a new journey for the CNAUTO platform to drive the cross-border expansion of China’s auto parts and equipment industry. After the ceremony, guests visited the CNAUTO booth of IBI, where Zhang Wei, the platform’s head, presented an on-site briefing, earning broad recognition.
The global launch of the CNAUTO Cross-Border E-commerce Platform marks the first step in the collaboration between IBI and Shandong Port Overseas Development Group to support Chinese enterprises in expanding overseas markets, promote industrial and financial upgrading in the auto parts sector, and help enterprises reduce costs and increase efficiency. It is also a pivotal step in building a full-spectrum global trading ecosystem for automotive equipment in partnership with the entire industry chain.
CNAUTO integrates resources from China’s automotive equipment industry chain and implements the “1750” strategy — one platform, seven overseas centers, and fifty overseas warehouses. It focuses on the digital trading operations of the automotive industry chain, cross-border e-commerce, and digital supply chain services.
