On July 15–16, the 2024 Modern Logistics & Supply Chain Industry–Finance Cooperation Ecosystem Conference and Hami Modern Logistics High-Quality Development Conference, co-hosted by the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP) and the Hami Municipal People’s Government, was held in Hami, Xinjiang. Liu Zhai, Senior Vice President of IBI and CEO of Toodudu, was invited to attend the event, engage in in-depth exchanges on IBI’s practices in modern logistics and supply chains, and deliver a keynote speech titled “Exploration and Practice of Reconstructing Global Industrial Chains through Digital-Intelligent Supply Chains”, which was well received by the attending leaders and guests.
The conference, themed “Linking the Dual Circulation, Leading New Development”, aimed to explore effective pathways for integrating the logistics industry with regional economic ecosystems, uncover new drivers for industry–finance cooperation and logistics enterprise transformation, and further promote the development of modern logistics and supply chain systems in Hami and across China. Notable attendees included Xiong Zhejia, Deputy Secretary-General of the People’s Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region; He Liming, President of CFLP; Sun Tao, Secretary of the CPC Hami Municipal Committee; and Ren Haoxiang, Vice President of CFLP and President of the China Society of Logistics, who presided over the event.
In his keynote address, Liu Zhai emphasized that IBI is committed to deeply integrating digital technologies—such as the Internet, IoT, big data, cloud computing, and AI—with manufacturing. Guided by its Platform + Technology + Data industrial internet strategy, IBI provides online commodity trading, business information services, and digital technology services for industrial goods and raw materials. The company has established a three growth curves: (1) industrial e-commerce platforms as its first growth curve, (2) industrial digitalization as its second growth curve, and (3) industrial-belt cross-border e-commerce platforms as its third growth curve—achieving sustained high growth in recent years.
The keynote session featured a special highlight: Xu Jian, Executive President of IBI’s cross-border platform CNAUTO, joined Liu Zhai on stage to share the company’s exploration and practices in the cross-border field. He noted that in recent years, IBI has been increasing investment in industrial-belt cross-border initiatives, focusing on transactions, fulfillment, and its “1750” digital-intelligent supply chain strategy—one platform, seven overseas hubs, and fifty overseas warehouses. This Industry + Ecosystem + Industry–Finance model aims to reconstruct the global industrial system through digital-intelligent supply chains. By promoting data sharing and process integration across nine key operational nodes—customs clearance, taxation, foreign exchange, government affairs, business, ports, shipping, warehousing, and finance—the company offers cross-border transaction services, digital cloud factory upgrades, overseas shared warehousing, dedicated shipping lines, overseas showrooms, customs declaration and tax rebates, cross-border insurance, and cross-border industry–finance solutions. The goal is to achieve intelligent integration of customs–tax–FX processes, electronic documentation management, online declaration tracking, and closed-loop risk scanning, thereby fully enabling industrial-belt enterprises to expand globally.
The conference was attended by leaders from the Xinjiang Development and Reform Commission, Department of Transport, Department of Commerce, and State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission; the Henan Provincial Department of Transport; the cities of Zhengzhou and Luoyang in Henan; Zhangye in Gansu; and Urumqi Customs.
