IBI Co-Founds China’s First “Industrial Internet Data Zone” in a National Data Exchange and Wins “2024 Outstanding Data Provider” Award from GSE
Recently, the 2024 China International Big Data Industry Expo (Big Data Expo), hosted by the National Data Administration and organized by the People’s Government of Guizhou Province, was held in Guiyang. With the theme “Intelligent Symbiosis: Creating a New Future for High-Quality Digital Economy Development,” the event aimed to be an internationally renowned gathering of industry elites, a professional stage leading cutting-edge trends, and a global business cooperation platform.
During the conference, the Guiyang Big Data Exchange (GSE), China’s first national data circulation exchange, announced a series of major data achievements in partnership with its ecosystem collaborators. Guided by the Industrial Internet Branch of the China Information Association, IBI, as a joint operating partner, and GSE co-launched China’s first dedicated industrial internet cluster within a national data exchange — the “Industrial Internet Data Zone.” Through a zone-based cooperation model, the initiative aims to build an industrial digitalization cluster and enrich the transaction and communication platform for the industrial digital ecosystem. Anchored in the guiding principles of the 3rd Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, the zone focuses on the industrial internet sector and collaborates with multiple well-known domestic industrial internet platforms and ecosystem service institutions to jointly promote industry development and upgrading.
In advancing the market-based allocation of data resources — particularly in improving fundamental data systems, building data infrastructure, and promoting data circulation and utilization — data providers play an essential and critical role. Leveraging its deep engagement in the industrial internet, proactive exploration of data transactions, and extensive, comprehensive datasets spanning production, logistics and warehousing, and circulation and trade, IBI was honored as a “2024 Outstanding Data Provider” by GSE alongside China Telecom, China Mobile, Cloud Guizhou, and Yunect.
