IBI’s New Cross-Border Business Development and Service Model Selected as a 2024 “Two Zones” Construction Innovation Achievement Case in Beijing
On December 25, at the 2024 “Two Zones” Construction Innovation Achievement Release Event in Fengtai District, IBI’s “Belt and Road” B2B cross-border e-commerce industry development and service model was officially unveiled.
In September 2020, General Secretary Xi Jinping announced at the China International Fair for Trade in Services his support for Beijing in building a National Integrated Demonstration Zone for Greater Openness in the Services Sector and a Pilot Free Trade Zone. This marked the official launch of the “Two Zones” construction. As 2024 is the fourth year of the initiative, IBI has actively responded to the policy call by expanding its business scope and international cooperation, promoting industrial structure optimization and upgrading. Its new cross-border business development and service model has now been recognized as one of Beijing’s 2024 “Two Zones” Construction Innovation Achievement Cases.
During the release session, Liu Junzhai, Director and Senior Vice President of IBI, shared the company’s exploration journey and practical achievements in building a new B2B cross-border e-commerce full-industry-chain collaborative operation system and fostering new quality productivity for industrial belt cross-border expansion. In recent years, IBI has closely followed the strategic direction of the Belt and Road Initiative, seized the opportunities of the “Two Zones” construction, and vigorously developed the third growth curve of industrial belt cross-border e-commerce, achieving sustained rapid growth.
The company focuses on the entire B2B cross-border e-commerce chain — production — procurement & sales — overseas circulation — and has taken the lead in China in establishing:
• An e-commerce trading platform at the procurement and sales end, enabling domestic enterprises to expand cross-border operations in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and other relevant countries and regions, thus linking global markets.
• A digital supply chain logistics management platform at the logistics end, opening dedicated shipping routes for B2B cross-border e-commerce imports and exports, effectively reducing logistics and warehousing costs.
• A digital cloud factory smart management platform at the production end, meeting the core needs of factories in India, Vietnam, Thailand, Pakistan, and other countries to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Through these three interactive platforms, IBI helps manufacturing, trading, and logistics enterprises gain access to international market channels, expand the global trading ecosystem, actively promote industrial belt SMEs to “go global” in groups, and enhance international competitiveness.
IBI is committed to its industrial internet development strategy of “platform, technology, and data,” with big data as the core support element and the chain-leader effect of the industrial internet as the driving force. By increasing its overseas cross-border e-commerce presence and focusing on markets in countries along the Belt and Road, the company fully leverages its resource advantages to empower enterprises through its three interactive platforms, enabling them to enter international markets, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. It continues to improve its overseas e-commerce node network, optimize resource allocation, deepen supply chain cooperation for efficient collaboration, and further advance the value transformation of cross-border transaction data to achieve “digital trade empowerment.” In doing so, IBI contributes to the high-quality development of the “Two Zones” construction.
