President Zhang Jianming and Wu Xiaoqiu of the RUC Alumni Entrepreneurs Association Visit IBI for Research and Exchange
On January 13, 2025, Zhang Jianming and Wu Xiaoqiu, Presidents of the Alumni Entrepreneurs Association of Renmin University of China (RUC), together with Executive President Li Jun, visited IBI for research and exchange. Liu Quan, Founder and Chairman of IBI, Xu Hai, Chief Strategic Investment Officer and Founder of Honghu Fund, among others, attended the meeting.
The delegation first toured IBI’s office facilities and digital exhibition hall, gaining a detailed understanding of the company’s development history and business layout. At the ensuing discussion, Chairman Liu Quan extended a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the visiting alumni. He fondly recalled that RUC, as the spiritual home and cradle of wisdom for its alumni, had not only provided him with profound academic nourishment and a solid knowledge foundation, but also offered strong support and boundless inspiration for his entrepreneurial endeavors in Beijing. As a proud member of the RUC community, he has always upheld the university motto “Seeking Truth from Facts,” dedicating himself to maintaining close ties and cooperation with fellow alumni enterprises, jointly exploring new opportunities, and working together toward an even more brilliant future.
President Zhang Jianming noted in his remarks that this visit marked the first major activity of the Alumni Entrepreneurs Association in 2025, following its year-end visit to Hillhouse Capital in 2024. He referred to General Secretary Xi Jinping’s remarks during his inspection of RUC, urging the university to fulfill its fundamental mission of fostering virtue through education, inheriting the red gene, and cultivating “pillars of national rejuvenation and pioneers of a strong country.” Guided by this vision, the Alumni Entrepreneurs Association strives to build a broader platform for synergy, supporting outstanding alumni in achieving dual success in life and career. The purpose of this visit to IBI, he emphasized, was to establish a bridge for communication and cooperation between both sides, achieving information sharing, resource integration, complementary advantages, and mutual benefit, thereby injecting new vitality into RUC’s development and contributing to the prosperity of the national economy.
President Wu Xiaoqiu stressed that the capital market is a key driver of technological advancement and the growth of sci-tech enterprises, while the competitiveness of listed companies serves as the cornerstone of the capital market’s steady development. As an outstanding representative of listed companies and a leading enterprise in the industrial internet and digital economy sectors, IBI should continue to leverage its strengths, deepen cooperation with both enterprises and government, and make full use of the resources and power of the capital market to inject sustained momentum into economic growth and the building of a strong nation.
During the exchange session, the alumni engaged in open and constructive discussions, drawing on their rich experience and unique perspectives from various industries. They explored topics such as enhancing collaboration among alumni enterprises and expanding cross-industry cooperation. The visit not only deepened mutual trust and camaraderie among the alumni but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation and development.
The visit was accompanied by Wu Yafeng, President of the North America Alumni Association; Li Xufeng, President of the Canada Alumni Association; Zhou Rong, Secretary-General of the Alumni Entrepreneurs Association; and Zhao Xiao, Deputy Secretary-General of the Association.
