Leaders from the China Petroleum and Petrochemical Engineering Institute Visit IBI for Research and Exchange
On February 17, 2025, a delegation of leaders from the China Petroleum and Petrochemical Engineering Institute (CPPEI) visited the IBI Digital Economy Headquarters for research. The delegation included Liu Genyuan, former Chairman of CPPEI and former Party Group Member and Deputy General Manager of China Petrochemical Corporation; Wang Zhigang, Chairman of CPPEI and former Party Group Member of China Petrochemical Corporation and former Senior Vice President of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation; Wang Yingbin, Vice Chairman and Acting Secretary-General of CPPEI and former Executive Director and General Manager of Sinopec Qingdao Petrochemical Co., Ltd.; and Da Zhijian, Vice Chairman of CPPEI and former President of Sinopec Petroleum & Petrochemical Research Institute. Qian Xiaojun, Vice Chairman of CPPEI and Founder/CEO/President of IBI, warmly received the visiting leaders on behalf of the company. The two sides engaged in an in-depth discussion on multi-dimensional cooperation to jointly promote the innovation and upgrading of the petroleum and petrochemical industry.
During the visit, the CPPEI delegation first toured the digital exhibition hall. Based on the industrial digitalization scenarios presented in the hall, they gained a deep understanding of the "Duoduo" platforms' operational model, IBI SaaS Service technology applications, cross-border business for industrial belts, and the company's practical strategies.
Former Chairman Liu Genyuan and Chairman Wang Zhigang fully affirmed IBI's achievements in applying artificial intelligence, its industrial internet platform, promoting economic and trade cooperation in the "Belt and Road" initiative, and the digitalization of the petroleum and petrochemical industry. They stressed that enterprises must strengthen their confidence, seize opportunities for national development, and be patriotic. They also called on the association to earnestly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the private enterprise symposium and the various policies of the CPC Central Committee to support private enterprises, and to fully leverage the association's platform and bridging role to perform the "four services" well.
President Qian Xiaojun expressed his sincere gratitude for the association's strong support. He stated that as an important organization in the industry, CPPEI has always been based on the practical needs of industrial development, and with a high sense of responsibility and mission, it is committed to providing comprehensive and multi-level quality services to its members. As a Vice Chairman Unit of the association, IBI has always attached great importance to its cooperation with CPPEI. Leveraging the resource advantages of its "Duoduo" platforms, the company has accumulated a vast amount of industry data, rich supply chain resources, and a large customer base. Through cooperation with the association, the company can effectively integrate and utilize these resources to provide more precise and efficient services to enterprises in the petroleum and petrochemical industry. In the future, IBI will continue to deepen its cooperation with the association and make greater contributions to promoting the digital transformation, green upgrading, and high-quality development of the petrochemical industry.
In addition, Sun Hongbin, Vice President of IBI's Toodudu platform and the head of the resin industrial chain, gave a briefing on the company's current customized material cooperation with the Sinopec system and its future development plans.
